Holiday Parking and Toll Suspension
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi has officially announced that public parking fees will be waived across the emirate in observance of the Eid Al Adha holiday. This initiative is designed to ease traffic and provide convenience to residents and visitors celebrating the occasion.
Darb Toll Gate Exemptions
In addition to the parking waiver, the Darb toll gate system will also be free of charge for all motorists during the holiday period. The suspension applies to all toll gates located throughout Abu Dhabi. The ITC confirmed that the toll charges will resume their normal operational schedule once the holiday concludes, urging motorists to remain mindful of the reactivation date to avoid potential fines.
Operational Guidelines
While parking fees are suspended, the Integrated Transport Centre has reminded the public to continue adhering to parking regulations to ensure road safety and traffic flow. Specifically, motorists are advised to:
- Avoid parking in prohibited areas, including residential parking spaces reserved for permit holders between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
- Refrain from parking in spaces designated for people of determination.
- Ensure vehicles are not parked in a manner that obstructs traffic or fire hydrants.
The ITC emphasized that inspectors will continue to monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with these standard safety regulations throughout the holiday.
Customer Service and Support
During the Eid Al Adha break, the ITC customer happiness centers will remain closed. However, the authority noted that services will continue to be available through their digital platforms, including the Darb website and mobile application. For urgent inquiries, the public can continue to utilize the 800 850 toll-free number, which remains operational to assist with transport-related concerns.

Great news! Makes visiting family so much easier without worrying about tolls.

The digital service availability is a smart move, but I hope the support line isn't overwhelmed. It is a good gesture, but the logistics of handling thousands of extra drivers remain a concern.

Free parking is a nice holiday treat for families, but I worry it will lead to more congestion in busy areas. Hopefully, the authorities manage the traffic flow effectively during these peak times.

While the toll waiver is helpful for travel, it might encourage too many people to drive at once. It would be better if public transit options were also incentivized during the same period.
